About

Hi,

My name is Emily J Rooney (aka EM’s Way) and my passion is EMpowering hearts & homes…

I am a Byron Bay based writer, feng shui teacher & lifestyle coach, Reiki Master, mentor/coach, entrepreneur & brave dreamer extraordinaire…

EM’s way is my blog, where I share my musings on ‘Home’, Wellbeing, Yoga, Productivity and other Soulful/Inspirational Stuff.

Occasionally I share stuff that doesn’t fit into any of these categories but is still of value.  Random posts generally about resources, concepts or other things I have discovered.

My goal is to create insightful, meaningful content that contributes to your life in simple yet powerful and practical ways!

To make sure you don’t miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via email or RSS.

Whilst I am Queen of my own little EMpire, I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to be a humble servant of yours.

Thank-you for sharing some of your precious time with me.  I would have loved to brew you a cup of chai to accompany your visit, but we will have to settle on a cyber one…

I do hope you enjoy your visit!  Lets keep in touch…

Bright blessings,

Emily xo

My Biography

I am one of only a few world wide Master Educators of Interior Alignment®, a beautiful system of evaluating and adjusting your environments for positive change founded by internationally best selling author & healer Denise Linn.

I am currently writing my first book ‘Suddenly Homeless – An EMpowered Journey Home’.  It is a self-help book/memoir for anyone rebuilding their life after experiencing a trauma or loss that has left them feeling abit LOST.  From literally loosing their home such as my family experienced in a bushfire, to a big life change (like divorce or illness etc) or anything that has rattled their sense of home and safety in the world.

The book is a guide to assist the readers to create an empowered inner home and sacred space that is impervious to external events and circumstances.  A strong foundation from which to move forward and build their future dreams and goals on.

Along side of this I am cultivating a community to foster communication between people who ARE suddenly homeless with those who HAVE BEEN.  Real people sharing their lessons learned and shining a light for each other – bringing each other home after trauma & loss.

I am also preparing to launch a new website and business ‘Empowering Homes‘.  It will be the culmination of my last 14 years studying and exploring feng shui, wellbeing, reiki, organising/productivity etc.  It is primarily going to focus on how our environments can support us during times of big change & or healing.  It will offer a gentle path to incorporating sacred space into one’s extreme self care protocol.  Especially for highly sensitive people & people in the process of post traumatic growth (a term I much prefer over post traumatic stress).

Empowering Homes is going to be all about about creating happy homes for Wellbeing, Support & INSPIRATION!

I am an animal lover, chai addict, yoga-cising, guitar strumming, chanting/singing, techno geek.  I am also a modern day goddess, with a heart of gold and an insatiable desire to learn to surf (the waves of both the ocean & life)…

  1. Hi Nathalie, thanks for the feedback…I love everything you write about too – so tender, and I am sure your sharing has made a big difference to the lives of many!
At this years Hay House Writer’s Workshop they gave heaps of handy references, one of the best being a book called ‘Platform by Michael Hyatt’ I followed the instructions there and he suggests the disclaimer. Another absolute treasure is ‘The Social Media Bible – 3rd Edition’ by Lon SafkoI I refer back to both books often. I am looking forward to gearing things up in this dept in 2013!
Let me know if you guys are ever up this way, I think we actually met briefly at a Lennox market once….Brightest Blessings Emily xo

I have a project that I am simply now operating on, and I have
been at the glance out for such information.

  3. It’s appropriate time to make some plans for the future and it is time to be happy.
I have read this post and if I could I want to suggest you few interesting things or suggestions.
Perhaps you could write next articles referring to this article.
I desire to read more things about it!
